Hi everyone! After being thrown across a room by an 8 year old child, my legs were fixed on June 21st and I'm now in 'recovery mode' which means that I have to spend eight whole weeks in a crate! I'm not happy about that but foster mom keeps telling me that it'll be worth it when I can run and play again. I will not be available for adoption until after my eight weeks is up (which means August 21st for those who don't have a calendar!) so don't apply now, there are other dogs looking for a home ahead of me! Yes, she is precious but please read before applying: Pebbles was born a normal little puppy but at 9 weeks of age, after receiving her first round of vaccines, something changed and she started walking like a drunken sailor! Several consults with a neurologist have concluded that she will be this way forever and must be maintained on a twice daily dose of prednisolone. She also takes a pill called Meclizine which is typically prescribed for dizziness. To sum it up, Pebbles is a special needs baby. She can be around other small dogs provided they are tolerant (she IS still a puppy!) and gentle. She needs an owner who is experienced with small dogs and committed to giving her the best quality of life she can have. Pebbles is fostered in Whiting, NJ. Baby Bear is a little liver shunt boy who came to Rescue Me with a bladder stone. Once it was removed and analyzed, it was clear that it was as a result of his liver shunt. Baby Bear went to the top liver shunt hospital, University of Tennessee, for his surgery and is doing great. He is eating and thriving and gaining some weight and is expected to make a full recovery. This little boy is about as perfect as they come with a beautiful temperament. He loves to play with other dogs, gives lots of kisses and will snuggle down with you when it's time.
